Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
If you enter a name or case number into a search tool displayed on this site, the request is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and returns its result. We do not keep or log those search terms on our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other message sent to us is retained long enough to answer and manage the exchange. It stays with our team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, standard server and analytics systems may record technical details about the visit, including:
- The time and date of each page request
- The browser and version in use
- The referring site, when one is supplied
- The device type and operating system
- The pages viewed and approximate time spent there
- The IP address assigned to the device
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device that help show how visitors move through the site, such as which pages draw visits or where sessions end. Analytics providers may aggregate that traffic information. Browser controls can block or remove cookies, although some site functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Diagnosing faults and improving page performance
- Routing a search request to the partner that operates the selected tool
- Keeping the site available and functional
- Learning which pages are useful and which need revision
- Displaying advertising that may be relevant to a visitor
No Court-Record Data on File
This site does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of Columbia County court dockets or personal case information. It gives general directions to the Clerk of Superior and Juvenile Courts, other court custodians, and the providers named by Georgia Courts. The Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. ยงยง50-18-70 through 50-18-72, concerns inspection and copying of records held by public agencies. It does not make this private site the custodian of a court file. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes that may appear on these pages. Information entered into such a box is handled under that partner's privacy policy rather than this one. Each partner decides how long to retain data and whether to share it, so review its terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links on this site lead to clerk pages, trial-court portals, Georgia Courts resources, legal-aid organizations, and outside search tools. Once a link is followed, the destination's privacy policy governs that visit, not this policy. Read it before providing personal information.
Some advertising partners may track activity across different sites to select or measure advertising. That activity is handled on their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. In limited situations, information may be available to:
- Analytics providers measuring traffic and page performance
- Search providers processing a query submitted through their tool
- Advertising networks serving or measuring ads
- Law-enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal demand requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used to protect the information collected through this site. No internet-connected system is completely secure, however, and no promise can be made that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent us information, contact us so we can review and delete it.
Your Data Rights
The Georgia Open Records Act is directed to public-agency records, not to a private reference site. Depending on where you live, applicable privacy or consumer-protection law may provide additional rights over personal data. At a minimum, you may:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Request a correction of inaccurate information
- Ask that information be deleted when retention is not required
- Decline certain kinds of data processing where the law permits
Updates to This Policy
This privacy policy may be revised as the site or its services change. The new version will appear here with a new effective date, so visitors can review the current practices before continuing to use the site.
Effective date: August 21, 2026
